Baku City Police Department honored the memory of great leader Heydar Aliyev
19.04.2023“Thanks to the savior Heydar Aliyev, who devoted his life to the Motherland and people, Azerbaijan successfully emerged from upheavals and chaos and turned into a state that looks confidently into the future”. These thoughts were expressed at an event held at the Baku City Police Department on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader.
The Deputy Head of the Main Department, Police Major General Vugar Alakbarov, said that, in the first years of our independence, on the one hand, internal conflicts caused by internal power struggles, and the Armenian invasion of Azerbaijan, backed by foreign forces, brought our country to an abyss. At such a time when the leader of the country returned to power, the foundation of the transition from chaos to freedom was laid, very positive changes took place in the socio-political life of the country and in the criminal situation.
Haji Hasanov, head of the department of modern history of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, who participated in the event, noted that Heydar Aliyev always appreciated the services of the Azerbaijani police during this period. It is not accidental that it was under the leadership of the great leader that law enforcement agencies launched a successful fight against rampant organized crime in the republic, harmful currents that threaten stability, and the neutralization of illegal armed groups. The necessary conditions for peaceful living of citizens have been created. Their confidence in the state and law enforcement agencies has increased, the socio-political and criminogenic situation has been brought under control. National leader Heydar Aliyev adopted important laws and legal acts directly related to the activities of the internal affairs bodies.
At the end of the event, a documentary film entitled “Heydar Aliyev and the 44-day path of Victory” was demonstrated.
