About registration at the place of residence and place of stay
17.07.2019Registration of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the place of stay is carried out in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On registration at the place of residence and place of stay" and the Regulation on its application.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), registration of a citizen at the place of stay is carried out without removing from the register at the place of residence.
A citizen who wants to temporarily reside outside the place of residence for more than 60 days, upon arrival at this place for 7 days, should go to the website of the General Directorate of Passports, Registration and Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (excluding weekends, voting days, non-working and public holidays) and register.
When leaving the place of stay, the relevant executive authority removes it from the register at the place of stay.
Violation of legislation on registration at the place of stay entails administrative responsibility in accordance with article 563 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan: a citizen receives a warning because he/she does not register at the place of stay, or does not comply with the rules of registration and deregistration or is fined 30 AZN.
To temporarily register at the place of stay, citizens must go to the website of the General Directorate of Passports, Registration and Migration (www.bpqmi.gov.az) and register as an individual or legal entity in the electronic registration section (https://e-registration.bpqmi.gov.az/login).
