24.09.2018The Shaki Regional Center of the Main Passport, Registration and Migration Department is operating to provide citizens of the north-western region with foreign passports. Despite the fact that the center is located in Shaki, in order to ensure the satisfaction of citizens, the offsite services are organized in Zagatala and Balakan regions from Monday to Saturday, and in Gakh region on Saturday. Within the current year, 4810 documents have been collected in the regional center, and 8238 documents have been collected in the course of the offsite services.
The work on provision of the citizens with passports is conducted based on the principles of clarity and transparency. Foreign passport is prepared and provided within the period (1, 5 or up to 10 working days) in accordance with the fee paid. Photographs for the passport are taken free of charge at the regional office, as well as during offsite service in accordance with special biometric standards. During the activities carried out, people with disabilities have not been neglected either. Police officers arrive at their place of residence, collect relevant documents and as soon as passport is ready, it is provided to its holder. Citizens are also satisfied with the services rendered; they express gratitude for the opportunity to get documents easily in their regions with no additional cost.
